Nashville Child Photographer 

Nashville child photographer, Holly Marie is a natural light photographer, so most of her sessions take place outdoors at local gardens, parks, downtown areas, or in her clients’ backyards.  When booking a portrait session with Holly, she will help you choose a location that will be the perfect backdrop for your family’s images. 

Signature Sessions

These sessions can take place at an outdoor location or in your home – in your child’s room, your living room, hallways, or playroom.  Holly uses your furniture; such as a chairs, sofas or photographs your children playing on the floor with their favorite toys or books with a simple wall as a backdrop.  Indoor natural light sessions will need to take place near a window or doorway in a sun-lit room. Artificial light can be added to boost the natural light if needed on a cloudy day or in a dimly lit home. 

These sessions are casual, relaxed, and not rushed (lasting up to two hours), so your children will have time to warm up to being photographed. She is often found talking, singing, and playing with the children to create natural smiles and expressions. Holly does not pose children or families, but rather places them in an appropriate place for the image she wants to create. She then captures them naturally often letting them sit or stand as they are comfortable, yielding images that are a true representation of your child and his/her personality.

Mini Sessions 

Mini sessions are for the family that wants a few updated images of their child(ren) or those that don’t need a longer session. Great for a holiday card image, mommy and me, or to celebrate something new (lost teeth, new big girl haircut, best friends, etc.). 

Holly’s approach is the same with mini sessions, but will produce fewer images due to the time allotted for each session. Mini sessions last 20 minutes and take place outdoors. A location list will be provided upon booking. 

Senior Portrait Sessions 

Holly is also available for senior portrait sessions.  Senior portrait sessions are booked by parents of rising high school seniors who aren’t interested in the traditional senior studio session.  Although they will go to a studio (if required) for the yearbook picture – they are looking for something special, creative, and relaxed to celebrate their child’s last year in high school.  A senior session can be booked as a mini or signature session.
